Gujarat Govt to launch Health literacy campaign

Gandhinagar, Jul 8 (UNI) Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today said the government will launch a public campaign to promote health literacy in the state.

Addressing a meeting of State Health Mission here, Mr Modi said judging from the outcome of many health-related programmes which were launched in last six years, a public awarness campaign for health literacy is need of the hour.

During the meeting, an annual action plan for State Health Mission was sanctioned, and steps to be taken to strengthen emergency medical response services and health care services were reviewed.
