Mumbai, Jul 7 (UNI) India's engineering and construction major Larsen&Toubro Limited (L&T) has secured an order of Rs 446 crore from JSW Power Transco Limited for evacuation of power from the 1,200 MW power project being set up at Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.

The Jaigad -- Karad and Jaigad -- New Koyna 400 kv transmission lines, totaling 169 km, will be executed by the transmission line business unit of ECC - L&T's construction division, L&T said in a communique to stock exchange.

The project has to be completed in 18 months and the scope of work involves survey, supply of all components like transmission line tower members, conductors, insulators, hardware accessories and construction of the line across the two sections, L&T added.
