H-4 and Sankra-6-A varieties of cotton ease

Mumbai, July 7 (UNI) Cotton varieties like H-4 and Sankra-6-1 eased today by Rs 300 per candy on lower buying support by mills and exporters, induced by bearish advice from Karnataka, Gujarat, Punjab and some northern regions, traders at the Cotton Association of India (CAI) said.

Prices of H-4 and Sankra-6-A closed at Rs 27,900 and Rs 27,700 per candy respectively, while rest remained unchanged, traders said.

Following are the spot cotton rates per candy (335.62 kg) in Rupees: Bengal Deshi RG: 24,600, Bengal Desi SG: 25,100 V-797: 21,200, Karnataka Jayadhar: 21,800, Y-1: 24,500, Punjab J-34: 27,600, NHH-44: 25,500, LRA: 27,000, H-4: 27,900, S-6-A grade: 27,700, Bunny/Brahma: 28,900, MCU-5: 30,000, DCH-32: 33,000, Hedge contract 27,000.
