Karuna Foundation conduct dogs vaccination

Rajkot, Jul 6: Animal welfare organisation, Karuna Foundation and Animal Husbandry Department of Rajkot District Panchayat have jointly conducted dogs vaccination on World Zoonoses day.

Nearly 175 dogs were vaccinated.

Rajkot District Panchayat Animal Husbandry Department Officer S V Garara and Zoo Superintendent Dr M G Maradia and other officials were present during the vaccination programme.

Zoonoses is a disease that is transmitted from animals to man, Dr Maraida said.

Several animal lovers used this opportunity to protect their pets or the neighbourhood dogs from this dreadful disease and their dogs were vaccinated, he added.
