President Pratibha Patil arrives in Pune on 3-day visit

Pune, Jul 4 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil arrived by Special Aircraft on a three-day visit to the city today.

The President was received by Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir and State Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh at the Lohegaon Airport at 1615 hrs.

During her stay in the city, the President will attend various programmes, including 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve. Pune Municipal Corporation will felicitate her in the city.

The President will also attend a programme of centenary celebrations of Cosmos Bank.

She will meet her daughter Jyoti Rathore at Baner before leaving for Tirupati on Sunday.
