First grammarian of Kutchi language dead

Bhuj, Jul 4 (UNI) Renowned Grammarian Prataprai Trivedi, the first man to write grammar of Kutchi language, died in Jamnagar. He was 75.

Mr Trivedi, who was also a well-known linguist, poet and columnist, single-handedly edited a dictionary of Kutchi language.

He also wrote a etymological dictionary of the language.

Mr Trivedi's three anthologies of poetry have been hailed as classics of Kutchi literature. Leading industrialists, writers and others have expressed profound grief over his death yesterday.
