AP CM directs Dist Collectors to train 10 lakh youths
Hyderabad, Jul 4: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy directed the District Collectors to train at least ten lakh youths to take up self-employment in the state under the ''Rajiv Yuvashakthi'' programme.
Talking to newspersons here, State Information Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy said yesterday the Chief Minister had given the direction during a review meeting of the Department of Youth Services here.
The state government had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and 85 Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), he said, adding, the government had sanctioned Rs 400 crore for this purpose.
