Civic body slaps notice on Shah Rukh Khan
Mumbai, Jul 4: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has been served a notice by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for allegedly using a residential property for commercial purposes.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, July 4, Ashok Shingare, chief engineer of the BMC's Building and Development department, said the actor had made a change in the user in 'Deep Van' building in Khar in suburban Mumbai, without the corporation's approval. The actor has started the work of his production company Red Chilly Entertainment Limited in the residential building and has built a swimming pool and a gymnasium in it. ''He has been asked to reply to the notice within 30 days, failing which further action will be initiated,'' said Mr Shingare.
Khan had brought the property a few months ago, after a long search.
