VHP bandh evoke good response in Mysore

Mysore, July 3 (UNI) Normal life was affected in the city as bandh call given by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) evoked good response in Mysore district.

Business establishments, educational institutions remained closed for the day. Both state government and central government offices had thin attendances.

The KSRTC buses both rural and city had suspended the services till the evening. This affected passengers who were stranded at the bus stations. However, the essential commodities like milk, medical services was available. However train services was not affected.

Even the extensions areas the business establishments were closed, few financial institutions like banks worked for some time before closing the shutters for the day.

Both the BJP and VHP workers were seen going round the city and requesting the people to close the shops.

Busy K R Circle and Devaraj Urs Road, Sayyaji Rao Road wore a deserted look. Many small scale industries were also extended their support for the bandh and declared holiday.

The bandh also observed Chamarajanagara district and Mandya districts. No no untoward incidents reported from any parts of the three districts, police said.
