Special summary revision of photo electoral rolls

Shimla, Jul 3 (UNI) Special summary revision of photo electoral rolls for newly delimited 68 assembly constituencies for Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections with January 1, 2008 as qualifying date is being conducted in Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda today said that draft electoral rolls would be published by July 10 and would be available for inspection free of cost between July 10 to 24 in all the polling stations, offices of all the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ADM/SDM) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar).

She said that claims and objections could be filed between July 10 to July 24 and the electoral rolls would be verified on July 12.

She said that special campaign would be launched in all the polling stations on July 13 and 20 and the electoral rolls would be finally published on August 31.

The electoral rolls are also available on the website of election department, and voters could access them at http://ceohimachal.nic.in.
