Mettur water level at 85.52 ft

Tiruchirapalli, July 3 (UNI) The water level in the Mettur reservoir across river Cauvery stood at 85.52 ft as against its capacity of 120 ft, this morning.

The inflow into the resevoir was 705 cusecs and the discharge was maintained at 13,992 cusecs, PWD sources said.

For delta irrigation, 1,919 cusecs of water was let out through river Cauvery, 7,006 cusecs of water through Vennar, 1,804 cusecs of water through Grand Anaicut Canal and 1,317 cusecs of water released through Coleroon, from Grand Anaicut, the sources added.
