Cabinet Sub-committee discusses regularaisation

Bangalore, July 3 (UNI) The Karnataka Cabinet Sub-committee looking into violations of building by-laws in the state today discussed the modalities for regularising such property after imposing a penalty.

It also decided to bring to book officials responsible for such violations, Transport Minister R Ashok told reporters.

The Minister, who is also Chairman of the sub-committee said in its first sitting, the sub-committee scrutinised the penalty clause for regularisation and favoured to reduce the penalty amount fixed earlier by the officials during President's rule.

He said opinions would be sought from citizens on the issue and an interaction meeting with citizens organisations would be convened.
