Bandh peacefully observed in Raj over SASB issue
Jaipur, Jul 3 (UNI) No untoward incident was reported during the 'Bharat Bandh' called by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) was peaceful in several towns of Rajasthan, police said today.
The bandh was called by VHP and Bajrang Dal here in protest against the Jammu and Kashmir Government's stand over land allotment to Sri Amarnath Shrine Board(SASB).
It was observed in Jaipur, Sikar, Ajmer, Nagaur, Kota, Baran, Udaipur and several other towns.
The bandh was organised in a peaceful manner as no untoward incident was reported from any place, a police spokesman said.
In Jaipur, most of the shops and business establishments remained closed. Most of the schools also remained closed.
