Backward classes to get more seats in next elections: APCC
Hyderabad, Jul 3 (UNI) The Congress will give more seats to the backward classes in the state in the next elections, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President D Srinivas today said.
Addressing the OBC department of the party at here, he said the party would give more seats to the backward classes this time than the 2004 elections.
Stating that the state government had taken up several welfare schemes for the backward classes in the state, he asked the party workers to take up developmental schemes and create awareness among the people about the schemes.
He said the government had given preference to the Backward classes in all schemes, including housing, pensions, scholarships to students and job opportunities as the government was committed for the welfare of the backward classes.
