Apna Dal to have smart play in coming LS election
Sultanpur, Jul 3 (UNI) After learning a lesson in the last Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha election, the Apna Dal today said it would not tie-up with any big or prominent political party in the coming Lok Sabha election.
''Infact, the party would prefer reaching an understanding with small parties, who don't ditch like the big one's,'' Apna Dal president Sone Lal Patel said addressing newspersons here.
The Apna Dal has already shaken hands with 22 small parties and decided to contest the approaching LS poll from nearby 300 seats, Mr Patel quipped.
The party was only at a loss of altogether 25 seats, when it did an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the last UP Vidhan Sabha election, he alleged.
