Student Cong calls for bandh
Puducherry, July 2 (UNI) The students Congress here has called for a 12- hour bandh tomorrow to condemn Puducherry Chief Secretary Rakesh Bihari for his alleged objectionable remarks against the council of minsters here.
Students Congress President Samraj who was suspended from the post, in a statement today said the students Congress would go ahead with the bandh despite his suspension and sought the support of all sections to make it a sucess.
Meanwhile, Puducherry BJP President M Visweswaran in a statement, said the BJP unit here would also organise a bandh tomorrow in response to the call given the Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) to protest against the Amarnath land issue.
