Police fires air shots after communal clash in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah, July 2 (UNI) Police today fired air shots to disperse clashing groups near a mosque, in this mountainous town of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The clash and heavy stone pelting occurred when a rally by Saffron parties was passing a local mosque in Bhaderwah town.

Reportedly, the clash occurred after someone allegedly pelted stone at the mosque.

Members of both the communities started pelting stones on each other. Finding the situation going out of control the police resorted to firing in the air to disperse the mob.

Several people were injured in the clashes, an eye witness informed.
