Groundnutseed, its oil flat; RBD Palm oil rises

Mumbai, July 2 (UNI) Spot prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained steady today, on moderate demand by stockists, while RBD palm oil rose due to better buying support, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oil segment (per ten kgs), groundnut oil, kardi expeller, mowra and neem remained unchanged, while refined palm oil, rice bran, linseed and karanji rose by Rs five per ten kg each, due to increase of fresh demand by stockists.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnutseed, javas 70/80, javas 80/90 and sunflowerseed remained flat on scattered buying by stockists.

Castorseed Disa and Castorseed Hyderabad inched up by Rs 25 and Rs 50 per quintal respectively, amid speculative demand.

In De-oiled cakes (per tonne), undec cottonseed and castor extra hiked by Rs 100 each. Soyameal 48 per cent also advanced by Rs 500 on good export enquiries, trader said.
