Protest to condemn CS remarks on Ministers
Puducherry, July 1: People from different constituencies today resorted to road blockade to condemn Chief Secretary Rakesh Bihari for his alleged objectionable remarks against the Council of Ministers.
Over 2,000 people put up a road blockade at Kuruvinatham of which 477 courted arrest while over 60 were arrested when they put up a road blockade at Thirukkanurhere.
Volunteers of the Congress,DMK,AIADMK and PMK participated in the agitation at Thirukkanur.As many as 100 people were arrested when they put up road blockade at Mudaliarpet.
Heavy police pickets were posted at the Chief Secretariate here.
The Students Congress here announced it would hold a demonstration in front of the head post office this evening violating a police ban order.
