Nagaland govt provides relief for Mizoram famine-stricken
Kohima, Jul 01 (UNI) The Nagaland government has granted Rs 15 lakh to the Mizoram Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the Mautam famine victims in the state.
Official sources said here today that the amount of Rs 15 lakh was raised through the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to extend assistance to those affected by the famine in Mizoram.
A high-level state team, led by Legislator Dr Nicky Kire, and including Additional Chief Secretary Lalthara, Project Director of Music Task Force (MTF) Gugs Chishi, Press Secretary to the Chief Minister Abu Metha, will hand over the cheque.
A troupe of local musicians will also participate in a Fraternity Concert scheduled on Thursday.
