Four people of a marriage party dead in Nepal mishap
Gangtok, Jul 1 (UNI) Four people from Sikkim were killed and five injured when a vehicle returning from a wedding party met with an accident in Nepal on Monday night, a report reaching here said today.
The victims were travelling in the car that rammed in the rear of a truck carrying bamboos at Belbari-Dangighat section of Mahendra Highway in Biratnagar.
The vehicle was the last of a fleet five-vehicle carrying the groom and his relatives from Mangan, North Sikkim.
Family members in Mangan identified the deceased as Ashoke Prasad (40), Pramod Saha (40), Islam Master (61) and fourteen-year-old Mohammad Ismail.
The condition of Md. Aluhudin was serious among those injured receiving treatment at BP Koirala Health Science Institute in Dharan.
Efforts were on to bring back the bodies.
The whole Mangan bazaar remained shut today as a mark of respect to the deceased.
