IDBI bank asks farmers to make regular payments of loans

Pune, Jun 30 (UNI) IDBI Bank Chairman and Managing Director Yogesh Agarwal today said the loan relief scheme, introduced by the government, is for one time only and exhorted the farmers to make regular and timely repayment of loans.

Speaking after issuing debt relief certificates to the farmers residing in the vicinity of IDBI Bank's Kikavi Branch, Mr Agarwal suggested to the farmers to produce qualitative produce so as to achieve self-development.

Farmers should also take benefits of various schemes of the bank and play an important role in the agricultural development of the nation, he said.

Arun Shiravadekar, Regional head of IDBI, said with the help of debt relief scheme, there will be no burden on farmers and they will be able to get new loan facilities. Farmers will get good benefits of this scheme, he added.
