Shiv Sena stages protest

Nashik, Jun 29 (UNI) Shiv Sena activists today staged a protest, as Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar came here on a day-long visit.

The protestors, led by district party chief Datta Gaikwad, shouted slogans against Mr Pawar and the Maharashtra government, when he came to inaugurate a superspeciality hospital at Shalimar chowk in the city.

The agitators blamed the government for announcing a ''deceptive'' loan waiver scheme for farmers, mounting inflation and fertiliser scarcity.
