MLC promises Rs 2 cr for temple in AP

Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 29 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Leader and Karnataka MLC Gali Janardhan Reddy said he would donate Rs two crore for the construction of 'Dwajasthambham' (sacred pillar) at the Sri Kalahastheeswara Swamy Temple here.

According to temple sources, Mr Reddy made the announcement during his visit to the temple here last night, where he had come along with Karnataka Minister Ramulu.

Mr Reddy would initially donate Rs 50 lakh the sources quoted him as saying.
