Expedite land acquisition process for VANPIC : YSR

Hyderabad, June 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed officials to expedite land acquisition process for Vadarevu and Nizampatnam Ports and Industrial Corridor (VANPIC) Project to come up in the coastal area of Prakasam and Guntur Districts.

Asking all stakeholders for positive support to make the project a reality, Dr Reddy urged Matrix Chairman and Project Developer Prasad to provide the required technical training for boys and girls at the Industrial Training Centre being set up by them. He also directed him to provide high level mechanisation by setting up textile parks and latest high speed fishing equipment to locals and fishermen of the region.

He wanted the Chairman to be liberal and pay better compensation to sellers during land acquisition.

Staing the project would tremendously boost industrial growth and employment opportunities in the region, Dr Reddy, while reviewing the VANPIC project with the officials concerned here, was keen the project should come up fast as it would provide more employment opportunities and improve economic activity, an official release here said.
