Couple commits suicide

Gulbarga, Jun 29 (UNI) A young couple committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Darshanapur village, Shahapur taluk, in Gulbarga district today.

Police said Basavanna Khed(28) and his wife Lalli(22), belonging to different religions, had married recently.

They were reportedly not accepted by their families. Dejected at this, both allegedly decided to end their lives.

After consuming the poison, they informed their parents about their decision.

Their parents rushed them to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead, the sources added.
