Jammu, June 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party state unit today demanded the ''sacking'' of Governor N N Vohra for appeasing and pleasing radical groups including Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), National Conference (NC) and Congress.

''Congress has appointed Mr. Vohra as state Governor with an intention to fulfill the demands of Islamic fundamentalists and he should immediately be sacked,'' Ashok Khajuria, BJP state president said at a press conference here this afternoon.

Mr. Khajuria said the BJP condemns the controversial and provocative decision of J&K Governor for allowing the Congress to undermine the authority of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

''The transfer of land issue has been communalised by the Kashmir-centric leaders. We oppose such moves and if the government fails to remain committed on its decision, BJP will go for ''economic blockage'' in Kashmir,'' Mr Khajuria told mediapersons.

However, the PDP leaders should immediately withdraw their security as they are no more in the government, the BJP president said asserting, ''we have given a call for Jammu bandh tomorrow against the policies being adopted by the Congress hurting the sentiments of the people in Jammu.'' ''The NC, PDP and Congress leaders have joined hands with the separatists and they are following the directions of APHC chairman Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat leader Miwaiz Omar Farooq and Yaseen Malik,'' Mr Khajuria said.

''The separatist leaders are playing a political card over the transfer of land issue. Instead of adding fuel to such petty issues, they should come forward and participate in assembly elections,'' the BJP president added.
