Work more dedicatedly for eradicating child labour: Brijmohan
Raipur, June 28 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Revenue Minister Brijmohan Agrawal today called upon voluntary organisations working in the field of child labour to discharge their responsibilities with more commitment, honesty and transparency.
''Poverty has led to an increase in the number of child labourers in the country. Successful implementation of child labour eradication schemes is needed to control the situation,'' he said, while addressing the valedictory of the golden jubilee of the Central Board for Workers Education at Red Cross auditorium here yesterday.
Besides education, child labourers should be provided training for self-employment following which initiatives should be taken to provide them employment so that they are not forced to take dangerous works.
