Haryana to check cop's record before senstive posting
Chandigarh, Jun 28 (UNI) The Haryana Police has decided to carefully examine personal reputation and service record of police officials before posting them at sensitive positions.
This was stated by Director General of Police Ranjiv Dalal while reviewing the functioning of districts Superintendents of Police of Ambala and Rohtak ranges at a meeting held at Madhuban in district Karnal today.
He directed Superintendents of Police to undertake screening of records of police personnel and deal sternly and promptly with undesirable elements.
He also urged them to visit all police stations and police posts within next one week either by conducting surprise checks or through pre-announced visits. He said that they should minutely review the functioning of these units.
He directed the range Inspectors Generals of Police to extensively tour in the districts falling within their ranges and interact with police men at all levels.
He also instructed them to ensure speedy disposal of complaints, prompt registration of First Information Reports, quick arrest of bail jumpers, bad characters and payroll jumpers.
