SOZ CONDOLES demise of BANATWALA

New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) Union Minister for Water Resources Saifuddin Soz today expressed profound grief over the death of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) president Ghulam Mahmood Banatwala.

In a condolence message, Prof Soz said Banatwala was a tall leader who worked consistently for the social and economic upliftment of the Muslims and other backward classes. He was a gifted orator and had made the proceedings in Parliament always interesting. He often argued his case vociferously and his speeches would always be remembered with respect, he said.

"The country is poorer by his demise", Prof Soz said.
