Revoke land transfer to SASB order: CPI(M)
Srinagar, Jun 27: The Communist Party of India (M) urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to revoke the order regarding transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) before it is too late.
The State Secretary of the CPI(M) Mohammad Yousuf Targami in a statement alleged that the government was adopting tactics of dilly dallying over the land transfer issue.
He urged the government to overcome vacillations and take a quick decision and revoke the order immediately.
Mr Targami cautioned that the government is being scanned as the present situation has put the very peace process at stake.
Since a serious situation has emerged which is telling upon the economy and day to day life of the masses, the government should come out of slumber, stop fumbling and act in a responsible manner, he said.
He asked the government to immediately rescind the land transfer order and ensure the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra so that communal forces do not take undue advantage of the situation and mislead people.
