Renowned Vedic Scholar Prof Chakravarthy died
Mysore. Jun 27 (UNI) Renowned vedic scholar Prof G N Chakravarthy died at his residence here today due to illness.
He was 97. He was survived by wife and three sons, Prof Chakravarthy was recipient of Sediyapu Award (2007), Veda Ratna award, a national award instituted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Kannada Rajyotsava Award-2007.
He had penned a number of books in Sanskrit and published many research papers related to Vedas.
