Rajbhasha shield presented to BSF

Shillong, Jun 27 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) Shillong Frontier Headquarters here was declared first for doing maximum official work in Hindi.

BSF sources here today said that Additional Director General (ADG) of Assam Rifles (AR) presented the 'Rajbhasha Shield' for 2007-08 to Mr R Colney, Additional Deputy Inspector General of BSF, at a function here.

The AR ADG appreciated the work and achievements of the border guards which has been a source of inspiration for others.

A meeting by town official language implementation committee was conducted at the Assam Rifles office here yesterday under the chairmanship of Mr Colney.

Among others present were Mr V S Sikarwar, Addl. DIG(G), Mr P K Yadav, Dy Commandant (Law) and Assistant Commandant and Inspector (translator) B C Kandpal.
