Panel to review fee structure of pvt medical, dental colleges
Chandigarh, Jun 27 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has constituted a three-member panel to review the fee structure of private medical and dental colleges in the state.
Punjab Chief Secretary Ramesh Inder Singh, Planning Board Deputy Chairman Dr JS Bajaj, Medical Education Secretary Jagjit Puri will constitute the committee.
Mr Badal directed the Chief Secretary to submit the committee's report within a week.
Expressing concern over ''unreasonable'' hike in fees in private medical colleges, Mr Badal said due to fee-hike many deserving candidates have foregone their seats even after securing high rank in PMET.
A delegation of Medical and Dental College Parents Association (Batch 2007) had met the Chief Minister at Punjab Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh on June 26.
