Lokayukta unearths property worth more than Rs 20 cr in raids

Bangalore, Jun 27 (UNI) Karnataka Lokayukta sleuths seized cash and property together worth more than Rs 20 crore during raids on ten government officials.

Informing this to newspersons here today, Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde said the raids were conducted against the top officials for acquisition of properties, including gold and silver ornaments and cash, disproportionate to their known sources of income under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The raids were continuing, he added.
