Jindal Steel Q4 net up 92.49%

New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) Jindal Steel and Power Ltd today said its net profit has increased 92.49 per cent to Rs 390.33 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 202.77 crore for the same quarter a year ago.

Total income has increased 44.10 per cent to Rs 1,547.79 crore for Q4 FY08 from Rs 1,074.05 crore for the same period a year earlier.

Its net profit for the year ended March 2008 stood at Rs 1,236.96 crore for the year ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 702.99 crore for the previous fiscal, up 75.95 per cent.

Total income has increased 53.85 per cent to Rs 5,459.87 crore for FY08 from Rs 3,548.78 crore for FY07.

The Group's net profit stood at Rs 1,249.59 crore for the year ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 699.05 crore for the previous fiscal, up 78.75 per cent.

Total income has increased 56.07 per cent to Rs 5538.73 per cent for FY08 from Rs 3548.80 crore for FY07.
