Goud to announce new Telangana party tomorrow
Hyderabad, Jun 27 (UNI) Former Home Minister T Devendar Goud who had quit the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would announce his own political party at a meeting here tomorrow.
Mr Goud, who had pledged to work for separate Telangana, was consulting many intellectuals of that region to chalk out a strategy for his new political party since the last two days.
He had already made it clear on june 24 that he would not have any truck with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
The meeting would only allow intellectuals to express their opinion on the Telangana issue. The leaders of the political parties were not invited to the meeting as Mr Goud had put a condition that the leaders would be allowed to speak in the meeting only after they resigned from their posts, sources said.
Meanwhile, former minister and TDP General Secretary E Peddi Reddy, who had also resigned from the TDP on June 23 and joined hands with Mr Goud, told newsmen that noted personalities from different fields from Telangana would attend the meeting in support of Mr Goud.
