Four booked in dowry death case
Jabalpur, June 27 (UNI) A case of dowry and murder has been registered against four people, including the husband of a woman, who committed suicide due to harassment for dowry, in Lamtara village in this district, police said today.
Suhagibai Patel (23), who was married to Rajesh Patel three years back, had burned herself alive at her house on June 1.
After her marriage, she was harassed by her husband, mother-in-law Badibai, father-in-law Harilal and brother-in-law Navkishor, for a dowry of 2.5 acre land and motorcycle.
A case was registered yesterday. The accused were absconding.
