Field Marshal Manekshaw's last rites today
New Delhi, June 27 (UNI) The last rites of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who died at the Military Hospital in Wellington, Tamil Nadu, late last night will be performed with full military honours today.
Minister of state for Defence N Pallam Raju will attend the cremation.
The body will lie in state in Madras Regimental Centre from 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs for people to pay their tributes.
The Military ceremony will follow at the same venue.
The final rites will be conducted at the Parsi Zoroastrian cemetry in Ooty in a private ceremony, an official said.
