Field Marshal Manekshaw to be cremated today
New Delhi, June 27 (UNI) Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who died at the Military Hospital in Wellington, Tamil Nadu, after midnight last night will be cremated with full military honours today.
Minister of state for Defence N Pallam Raju will attend the cremation.
The body will lie in state in Madras Regimental Centre from 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs for people to pay their tributes.
The Military ceremony will follow at the same venue.
He will be buried at the Parsi Zoroastrian cemetry in Ooty in a private ceremony, an official said.
