BSNL launches wireless broadband facility in Rajkot

Rajkot, June 27: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited launched its Evolution Data only (EVDO) Wireless Broadband facility in the city.The first connection of this service is being provided to Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank Limited Chairman Kalpak Maniar.

Talking to mediapersons here, BSNL General Manager N Ramchandaran said initially the service will be available in Shaper and Lodhika GIDC area, located on the outskirts of the city. Free roaming facility will be available within the city, the General Manager said. Subscribers, who want to avail this service, have to pay Rs 3,500 plus four percent sales tax. Subscribers can also avail this facility on monthly rent of Rs 550, he said.
