Sneha SSC topper in Aurangabad division; girls outperforms boys

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jun 26 (UNI) Sneha Dalia Govindprasad, student of Nutan Vidyalaya Bahuddeshiya High School at Selu tehsil in Parbhani district, topped with 96.76 per cent in the general merit list of SSC examinations results from Aurangabad division of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary declared today.

Sneha obtained 629 marks. A total of 1,389,58 students, including 57,161 girls, appeared for tenth standard examination at 519 centres in Aurangabad, Beed, Jalna, Parbhani and Hingoli district in Aurangabad division. Of them, 1,242,92 (52,242 girls) passed the examination resulting to 89.45 per cent.

The passing per cent of the girls is 91.39, while 88.08 per cent boys cleared the SSC, the girls outperformed with 3.31 per cent.

Devpriya Jagannath Jadhav from Godavari Public School of Aurangabad scored 627 (96.46 per cent) and Amruta Uddhavrao Paul from Shrimati G Kunkulal Yogeshwari Kanya Vidyalya in Ambejogai of Beed with 625 marks (96.15 per cent) secured second and third position respectively.

Preeti Namdeve Rathod from Nath High School at Paithan in Aurangabad district, got first position in Backward Class category with 621 marks (95.53 per cent), while Salim Shaikh Ayyub Shaikh from Mustafa Urdu Night High School of Aurangabad, secured first position in night schools category with 452 marks (69.53 per cent).

With 611 marks, Aditya Bhausaheb Joshi from Sharda Vidya Mandir of Gevrai in Beed has topper among handicapped students.
