NDA candidate Rajiv Pratap Rudi wins Rajya Sabha seat

Patna, Jun 26 (UNI) Former Union Minister and NDA candidate Rajiv Pratap Rudi was today declared elected for the Rajya Sabha from Bihar.

Assembly Secretary-cum-returning officer Surendra Prasad Sharma said here that of the 243 members in the House, 155 MLAs cast their votes.

He said Mr Rudi got 148 votes, while six votes were polled in favour of Mr Shiv Shankar Nishad, an independent candidate.

One vote was declared invalid.
