Man shot at by ex-employee
Surat, Jun 26 (UNI) A man allegedly opened fire at a city jeweller with a country-made pistol and injured him here today.
Pratap Dehri, who owns a jewellery shop in Mahidharpura area of the city, was shot by his ex-employee Sanjay Data, when he refused to give his dues, police said.
Sanjay fired a single round from his country made pistol, injuring Pratap. He was admitted to city civil hospital, where he is stated to be out of danger, police said.
However, Sanjay, who was arrested by police, during interrogation said that Pratap had not paid his dues worth Rs 20,000.
Today, when he went to meet Pratap to demand the payment, he refused to pay. This infuriated him and he opened fire, police said.
