Fishermen Assn stage demo to press demands

Puducherry, Jun 26 (UNI) The Meenava Viduthalai Vengaigal, a fishermen association today staged a demonstration in front of the Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare department here to press their demands.

They were demanding inclusion of fibre boat owners for provision of assistance during the fishing ban period, diesel to fibre boats at subsidised rate, basic amenities at the Thengaithittu fishing harbour here, among other things.
