Clean chit to Lokayukta by police

Bhopal, June 26 (UNI) Local police has given a clean chit to Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta Justuce Ripusudan Dayal on a complaint of alleged irregularity in purchasing a house from the State Housing Board at Riviera township here.

In a report submitted by the police in the court of first class judical magistrate D K Singh yesterday, police said no case arose out of the facts mentioned in the petition.

Two local residents Alok Singhvi and Narendra Bhavsar filed a complaint petition against Mr Dayal on June 19 alleging irregularities in purchasing the house. The court ordered the police to submit the report by August 20.

Senior police officials clarified that legal opinion was sought from experts on the issues raised in the petition.

Mr Dayal also filed a petition 15 days back against the duo for levelling false charge. The hearing of the petition is scheduled today.
