Cable operator's house attacked in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 26 (UNI) Militants damaged the house of a cable operator by attacking it with hand grenade and automatic weapons in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said today.
They said militants hurled a hand grenade and later opened fire towards the house of a cable operator Ashiq Hussain Khan at Mohalla gilgat, Sopore, in Baramulla district.
Minor damage was caused to the house, they said adding the cable operator and his family members escaped unhurt in the attack.
This was the first such attack after the authorities in the Kashmir valley stopped transmission of Pakistani Channels--Geo, Aaj and ARY. However, transmission of PTV news was resumed after remaining suspended for about two weeks.
