BJP to release list of candidates for LS polls

Pune, Jun 26: BJP will release a list of 200 candidates for Lok Sabha polls by the end of July, irrespective of the elections schedule information, Senior Party Leader Sushma Swaraj said here.

Ms Swaraj told newspersons yesterday(June 25) that in states where the BJP is in a partnership and in an alliance like with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, the party will not be announcing the candidates. ''We will not go ahead with this move in states where we are in partnership unless with the consent of partners,'' she said. This is the first time that a political party will have announced its candidates far ahead of the Parliamentary elections. Ms Swaraj is in the city to attend a four-day yoga camp at the B K S Iyengar Institute.
