Annual pilgrimage drives livelihood of locals in JK

Pahalgam, Jun 26: The annual pilgrimage to Amarnath Yatra is undertaken by hundreds of thousands of Hindus from across India in summer.

This pilgrimage comes as a boon for a lot of locals in Jammu &Kashmir to augment their incomes. People living in hill resorts enroute the holy cave shrine, wait eagerly every year for the two month long pilgrimage. The locals are expecting good business as this year the ice stalagmite is in full length, unlike last year.
