9 held for abetting woman's suicide

Nashik, June 26 (UNI) Nine persons have been arrested for abetting the suicide of a 32-year-old married woman in Gobapur village of Kalwan taluka of the district.

According to police sources, Bhagwan Gaikwad, husband of the deceased, Bharti, and his relatives -- Kashiram Gaikwad, Bhagabai Gaikwad, Sitaram Gaikwad, Tukaram Gaikwad, Laxmibai Bagul, Kamalbai Gaikwad, Suresh Bagul and Praveen Bagul -- were arrested yesterday.

Bharti had committed suicide along with her two sons, Nitin (8) and Ajay (5). Their dead bodies were recovered from a well on Tuesday last.

Bharti's relatives had gheraoed Ubhona police station on Tuesday night demanding action against the culprits.
